In late 2006,
G & Z Employees asked their boss, Richard Zuckerman "why after 21 years in business should we get involved with audio / video?"
Here's what he said: I suffered through the hassle of picking and shopping for a whole house audio system during the renovation of part of my house. After spending dozens of hours researching on the net, reading reviews, trying to price out options, I finally went into a major retailer that specializes in A/V solutions. Although they had the products I was interested in, were right there on the display floor, both the salesperson and the sales manager tried to switch me to another brand! I went home dazed and confused. A couple of days later I decided to call the manufacturer and have a chat. As it turned out, our two decades of digital, networking, and installation expertise were a perfect fit for me to do the job myself. It was actually fun and it worked great! I realized that the major retailer had tried to switch me into brands that were more profitable for them rather than what was going to fit my needs. I figured that others were experiencing the same things and that G & Z could provide a way through the confusion and salesman tricks to provide high quality custom A/V solutions, have some fun, and make a fair profit.
